Her love of stories and creatures, combining with her unique visual style and a new medium introduced to her while student teaching in Bray, Ireland lead her to Batik and the way the strengths and limitations of that media could convey the seasons of the world both real and imagined.
The melted wax necessary for Batik and encaustic processes combines the requirements of the care and precision of a printed process with the flexibility and versatility of fabric arts.
